As Valentine’s Day approaches, romance is in the air. Many people will be buying flowers or making special dinner reservations for their loved one. However, there are many people who don’t have a special someone or companions to share the love with during the holiday.
As loved ones grow older, they often suffer from loneliness, which grows worse during special holidays. Make Valentine’s Day a day for everyone. At Freedom Home Care, we encourage you to share the love with seniors.
Feeling artsy and creative? Looking for a fun and meaningful activity to do with your kiddos this Valentine’s Day? Join us in spreading the love by making a Valentine’s Day card for a local senior citizen!
You can decorate with any arts and craft supplies you have in your home. Share a message of love and encouragement with a local senior. Maybe you want to share something special about your loved one. Or you can wish them a year filled with love and happiness. Join the “Cupid Club” and make a card or two for residents of local senior living facilities!
Freedom Home Care will be collecting cards at the Downtown Highland Park office (1749 Green Bay Road) now through Monday, February 7th. Cards can be dropped off from 8:30am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri. Freedom Home Care will then hand deliver donated cards to residents at senior living facilities on Valentine’s Day.
