Freedom Home Care, Conney’s Pharmacy host flu shot clinic

Some individuals might think that it’s too late to get a flu shot, but according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there’s still plenty of time. Flu shots can be beneficial even after the holiday season is over. And they’re incredibly important for those over the age of 65.
Freedom Home Care understands the health benefits that come from getting flu vaccinations every year, which is why we partnered with Conney’s Pharmacy in Winnetka, Ill., to host a flu shot clinic this week at the Homestead at Morton Grove.
For anyone who may have missed the clinic, feel free to contact Freedom Home Care to talk about where a flu shot can be obtained. According to the CDC, “There are 3 different types of flu shots. The regular flu shot is recommended for almost everyone, 6 months of age and older. The high-dose flu shot is available for adults 65 years of age and older, and the intradermal flu shot uses a very small needle, and is available for adults 18-64 years of age.”
The staff at Conney’s Pharmacy can also answer any questions you or your aging loved one may have about the flu shot. In business for over 60 years and one of the few independent pharmacies left in the northern Chicago suburbs, they are a true expert resource to tap in to.

Your health is important, and making the flu shot accessible to our patients is a top priority. We want nothing more than healthy, happy holidays for everyone in our Freedom Home Care community. Take care!
